"Best guitar for under 2 grand—- for $850"

This guitar is an aesthetic wonder. I bought it just because of its stunning features and drop-dead looks. And it was worth it.

Come on. This is the best value there is. THE BEST.

I purchased the "blemished" item, and could not find one single significant defect. there was a TINY amount of surface scratches, like the kind a guitar gets after being played for about a week, but for the $230 i saved… definitely worth it.
All schecters, in my experience, have ridiculously high quality standards, even with the flashy inlays and whatnot they like to put in. I've never had a problem

never had to use schecter support

Gibson Robot Flying V Electric Guitar (With Case)

Gibson Robot Flying V Electric Guitar (With Case)

Gibson’s Robot Guitar, the world’s first guitar with robotic tuning technology is now available as a Flying V. The Gibson Robot Flying V is an electric guitar that offers all the power, tone, and performance of a traditional Flying V model, with the addition of the revolutionary Robot automatic tuning system. You don’t have to tune up your guitar every time you play it. The Robot Guitar does it for you. Just plug it in, dial in the tuning, strum the strings, and play.

The self-tuning system is built into a gorgeous Gibson Flying V guitar without changing its looks. All the sound and playability that have made the Flying V one of the most successful electric guitars of all time is retained. To tune itself, the Robot Guitar uses an onboard central processing unit that analyzes the pitch of each string as detected by the Tune-Control bridge. Tuning information from the CPU is relayed to the motorized tuning machines that efficiently adjust each string to the correct pitch with a distinctive whirring sound that lets you know the Robot Guitar is on the job.

You activate the Gibson Robot Flying V with the Master Control Knob that functions as a tone control in the down position and is pulled up to activate the tuning system. In addition to standard (A-440Hz) tuning, six commonly used tunings are selectable from the MCK. Users can also program their own custom tunings as well as set the guitar’s intonation. Now, with the Gibson Robot Guitar, you’ll spend more time playing-in tune. In live performance you can easily change tunings practically soundlessly on the fly, keeping your show flowing smoothly. There’s no longer any need to haul several instruments to the gig to cover various tunings; The Robot Guitar does it all for you!

The stock sound made not very happy: Limp, dark, undefined, awful. After a change of the pickups (Cobells Vintage), this axe turned into a completely other instrument: rich, full, quick, with a lot of punch. It loves the '70s Fender Twin Reverb (135 w, silver face). The right thing to play Rock or Blues – like "summertime", the version of Janis Joplin and "Big Brother".

I allways wanted to own a SG, so in the age of 38 I bought one, nine years younger than me. Made in '69, all mohagany, two Humbuckers, big neck, oxblood-red, "improved" by six very bad '70 Grover tuners, Deluxe Maestro "Lyre-Plate" Vibrola, 2 volume, 2 tone pots.

This guitar was the worst deal I ever made. Vintage but no fun. It took several month to do all the litte jobs to make it run in the right direction. Tuners and bridge (badly placed) needed to be replaced, everything possible needed to be adjusted, new soldered.

Buy It Before Its Gone

I purchased this guitar 3 months ago and I have nothing but positive remarks about it. It's body is really lightweight and the metallic red color gives it a unique look on stage. Also the neck is super smooth, and perfect for shredding or chording. The best part of this guitar however is in it's name, the guitars robot like capibility to, within a few seconds tune itself perfectly so that u can play anything without having to worry bout the time needed to tune. On stage when my rythem guitarist is playing a filler riff, I'm auto tuning it gettin ready to play a whole diffrent sound. This is easy to do, and only takes a few seconds here are the steps: 1.) Turn the volume on the guitar all the way down. 2.) Set the MCK to the tuning you want it to be at. 3.) Strum an open chord of all six strings. 4.) Give the guitar a few seconds to tune up. 5.) Double check the tuning by struming all the strings agian. 6.) Turn the volume up and you're all set to rock you're heart out with a brand new sound. Another awsome part of this guitar is its pickups wich sound amazing, well they are gibson. If you run them through a Marshal with an effect petal they sound amazing, perfect for any kind of metal. Overall this guitar is wel worth the money and if it cost more I'd still pay it, but that is in no way any reason to raise the price. I wish gibson would factory make this product as a permenant line, but what can you do. I highly recomend this product to anyone who likes that raw metal sound, and the ability to tune up instantly. A must buy, but get it before its gone for good.

This is one of those jack of all trade pedals but master of none. I had a Boss CE-2 and loved it. It set up easily, never made a bad sound and had rate and speed. Done. But this one has high tones controls, low tone controls, levels, speed, mix, offset. Dear Sweet Jebus. I kept tweaking the Small Clone setting until Letterman came on and I still couldn't find "my setting". As soon as I got close it ZOOMED (no pun intended) right into the "swirly thing" (I like that phrase).

The TC shouldn't even be there….not TC quality AT ALL(not close even).

The ChoralFlange is nice but without tap tempo it's not that practical. I'm thinking of taking this back and taking the cash to go buy a CE-2 off of EBay.

Just bought one. $115 CDN new. I'm not impressed. I think with Choruses (pl. Chori?) simplicity reins. This unit has way too much control over parameters. Also a level on a modulation effect is not my bag man. I have four volumes on my amp, one on the geetar, one on my distortion, one on my compressor, one on my delay and one on my CF-7. ENOUGH. Fuck I'm almost at the point of throwing away all my pedals again and going with a dynacomp straight into the front of the amp. RRRRRR. Cheap though…not bad for $115 bucks.

I was thinking of keeping it just to deter burglers. Made like a tank. No worries there.

Like my Boss OD-20, it tries to do too many things at once. Since my first love is simplicity and tube amp tone, I would say this isn't the pedal for moi. If you like tweaking. Go for it Baby!!! At $115 how can you go wrong? However it's just not the pedal for me. Cheers.

"Wow! Very impressed! Kicks Ass"

Awesome sex appeal. It looks beafy. And thats good. Its heavy but its awsome.

All this for 250.00 scoots? Awesome deal!

WHAT! Some kid on here said it was not a road amp! WHAT ARE YOU ON DUDE? I've dropped this amp a thousand times and it still hasn't given up. Amazing

Haven't had to deal with them.

Submitted: 1/19/2007 (Style of Music: Rock, Metallica, AC/DC baby! Rock on!)

I play folk, classic rock, Beatles, and I play at my church. This thing can imitate a Marhsall-type sound for loud rockers, a lighter sound for Norah Jones type songs, even fuzz and super distorted Satriani type sounds. In my opinion, this amp does these things very well. The distortion can be subtle or overbearing, depending on how you set it. I jammed with a friend who owns a very nice vintage Fender twin amp, and my Behringer kept up with it nicely.

I've had the Behringer Amp for 5 months and I have only recently figured out how to use it. (I program AV for a living.) It's versatility is amazing. When I learned how to mix cabinets with amps I felt like I had really unlocked something great and now I can imitate almost any sound I hear convincingly. The foot pedal switches between pre-sets without a break in the sound and the tuner is excellent. The XLR out is very nice and its effects are very good (except for the auto-wah, I haven't figured out how to use that one effectively). The echo feature even does stereo echo; an echo station like that would normally cost more than this amp.

I had to have it serviced when a knob quit working. I couldn't adjust the treble knob. Other than this, I have had no problems with the amp, it seems pretty reliable.

I'm glad I purchased this amp. It does what I want it to do and, conveniently, it was the only amp I could afford on my budget. It would cost thousands to get these sounds and these effects any other way. If you are willing to spend the time it takes to learn this thing you will do very well.

Vox DA20 Digital Guitar Combo Amplifier (20 Watt, 2×8 in.)

Vox DA20 Digital Guitar Combo Amplifier (20 Watt, 2x8 in.)

Based on the popular DA5 digital amp, the new DA20 combines higher power with the same great tone and go-anywhere portability of their smaller sibling. Like the DA5, the DA20 offers the option of running on battery power, so you can take the jam session literally anywhere!

Loaded with tone, at home or to go

The 20-Watt DA20 offers 11 distinctive sound styles ranging from clean to high gain, 11 great sounding, digital effects, a “knob-based†control panel that’s really easy to use, plus a whole lot more. Designed to take the show on the road, both of the new DA amps can be cranked up at 5 Watts on battery power (6 x C batteries, not included).

Great sounding effects

The versatility of the DA10 and DA20 extends to a full complement of 11 digital effects. Both amps feature auto-wah, chorus + delay, chorus + reverb, compressor, compressor + chorus, compressor + phaser, delay, flanger + reverb, reverb, rotary + reverb, and tremolo + reverb. There’s also a Tap Button that makes it easy to set the delay time or modulation speed. And like the larger AD Series or “Valvetronix†amps, editing the effects parameters on the DA10 and DA20 is simple.

Double up the tone

The DA20 is equipped with two VOX original design speakers. The DA20 packs a punch with 2 x 8-inch speakers, the DA10 comes with 2 x 6.5-inch speakers. With the VOX DA amplifiers, you don’t have to sacrifice great tone for portability and ease of use!

Play it anywhere, any way!

The DA20 can be powered by its AC adapter or by six C batteries. A built-in output power switch (MAX, 1.5W, 0.5W) helps extend battery life and lets you play at lower volume without losing any tone or feel.

That’s not the only trick these tone machines have to offer. The DA20 comes equipped with an AUX IN which allows you to connect an external audio device such as a CD or MP3 player, plus a MIC INPUT to connect a microphone. Just plug your guitar in, and you can play and sing along with your favourite band or recording!

Great for practicing and recording

The DA20 is equipped with a combination Line/Headphone output so you can connect to a headphone, mixer or recorder. The amps’ emulated line out provides a full, realistic sound whether you’re recording direct or listening through headphones. And since plugging into the jack defeats the speaker output, you can practice when you want, where you want, and as loud as you want in total privacy.

Great sounding. Great looking too. The DA20 is dressed in black vinyl with black chrome grilles.

Vox DA20 Digital Guitar Combo Amplifier (20 Watt, 2×8 in.) Features…

Number of amp types: 11

Number of effects: 11

Noise reduction: 1

Input/output jacks: 1x input, 1x aux in jack, 1x mic input, 1x line/phone

A Versatile Amplifier

I had the privilege of using the smaller DA10 model from a friend for 2 months and then decided to purchase the larger DA20. Better tone!
I always do a lot of research before I buy. Engineer by day, musician by night. Some Internet review(s) may mention that the DA10 has better tone. Don’t be fooled. I found the DA20 with larger speakers and cabinet offering a more robust, deeper tone. My ears were trained to the DA10, but the DA20 blew me away.
Effects are great, and my settings are always the same switching back and forth. The dials are chicken head design with gain and master controls like analog. High gain settings are beautifully enhanced with my 535Q crybaby wah. I discovered that the clean channels are nice for acoustic, especially A/E nylon. There are also blues and crunch settings.
But why did I get this amp out of a hundred different makes and models? It’s portable! I already had this amp outside at a Michigan bonfire party playing to back tracks. It takes C batteries… and with the low wattage switch on the back panel, I jammed for hours under the oak trees on DC power. When it is AC driven, it can melt the paint off my walls. Outstanding and Ingenious. Congratulations VOX.

Pi Thor (Aug 4, 2008)
I like it

This is a nice little amp with tons of versatility. I've had it almost 6 months and no real complaints. It has a nice tone with the 2×8's and perfect for practice and recording. Blues/Classic rock tones are very smooth (what I really wanted it for). I did find the master tone control to be a bit limiting after awhile, but have since hooked it up to a Pod XT Live and have total control over the settings and it does everything well now. For a small bedroom setup this does everything you'll ever need. The battery power comes in handy when the house looses power or if you plan to play somewhere a power supply isn't available. As a side note that turned out to be a big plus is I plug my walkman and Ipod into it and it sounds better then my sony stereo cd player.
