I play through a Boss GT6 into either a fender twin (solid state version) or straight into a PA – depending on where I'm playing. This thing is absolutely INCREDIBLE!

It has replaced my Mexican Tele and my Epiphone Les Paul (fitted with Gibson pups).

Think about it…with the S1 switch you have TEN pickup combinations! Plus 2 tone knobs and a detent position for the "delta tone". I thought all these options would make it confusing, but within an hour my brain figured out what the options sound like and I was switching like a madman. It's so easy with the strat controls and every tone is awesome!

I play a bunch of stuff from SRV and Hendrix to Pearl Jam and Incubus. Plus I play in my church band about 6 hours a week and it's awesome for all modern worship songs.

2004 American Deluxe Strat

S/S/S

S1 switching

3-tone sunburst finish

Rosewood fretboard

C shaped neck

Locking tuners

Strap locks

Pop-in Tremlo bar

Perfect set-up.

I put 10's on it, so I had to mess with the tremlo a little…but it was so easy. The manual tells you how to set up everything.

No issues yet

I will die with this guitar

I have had my Fender American Deluxe Strat now for over a year. It was my dream guitar after selling my house and moving to another state, and finally having enough coin to buy a decent guitar after playing 20 years. I made a good choice. The pickups are dreamy; noiseless is the only way to go. They have all the true "strat tones" you will want, and the S-1 switch opens up new worlds of possibilities. I play a combination of blues and rock, and the S-1 allows me to sound like I am playing a humbucking guitar. In the bridge position with the switch engaged, my leads tone is finally exacely what I have always wanted. I can then disengage the switch and move to the neck position, and it is all Strat. The locking tuners make string changes quick and simple, and the guitar stays in tune better also. This guitar feels as good in my arms as my old lady does, and I will be keeping her forever too. This is a pro guitar for pro players.

Ibanez GRGM21 GIO Mikro Electric Guitar

Ibanez GRGM21 GIO Mikro Electric Guitar

The Ibanez Mikro GRGM21 can truly shred in smaller places than its competitors.

The Ibanez Mikro is no toy — made to the same high standards of the other GIO series guitars. The RGRM21 has the same high-output Powersound pickups, the same construction, materials, set-up and inspection. It’s just shorter, a 22.2 in. scale neck instead of 25.5 in., and smaller. That makes it perfect for tour buses, songwriting, running scales while downloading and, of course, for young rockers and beginners.

Ibanez GRGM21 GIO Mikro Electric Guitar Features…

Neck: GRGM

Scale: 22.2 in.

Neck Material: Maple

Alder Body: Best known as the body wood for the “classic single coil, bolt on neck guitar,” alder produces clear, full bodied vintage tone that works well for lead or rhythm work.

Fret: 24, Medium

Rosewood Fingerboard: Rosewood offers a strong, bright sound and an attractive appearance with a long grain.

Bridge: Fixed – This design offers thru-body stringing for stronger tone and sustain.

Neck Pickup: PSND1 (Humbucker)

Bridge Pickup: PSND2 (Humbucker)

Inlay: Pearl Dot

Hardware Color: Chrome

Best mini-axe for the money

I bought this for my 13-year-old daughter for Christmas and it turned out to be her 2nd favorite gift (nothing beats an iPod…sorry, Ibanez). It fits her hands nicely, and the overall build is unexpectedly good for a guitar at this price.

Overall, though, it's a nice tiny guitar. Get one.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY

I bought this guitar for my eight year old for Christmas along with a small peavey amp.I just recieved it , plugged it in, streched the strings, and played . This is a very nice guitar well built, solid and the perfect size to get him started. It's alittle heavy and the neck is a little wide , but like every thing else he'll grow into it. This is not a toy that won't stay in tune and fall apart so your beginner and you won't get fustrated and lose interest. NICE GUITAR!

I bought this guitar to provide the classic strat sound to my music. The pickups are very cheap and weak to say the least. The shielding of the guitar is of poor quality and a joke.

Standard Strat Features

Where to start. Horriffic! The bridge was slanted at a 45 degree angle. Strings had maybe one wrap around the tuners. Action was sky high. Frets were flat in spots with file chatter marks. Fret file marks could also be found on the fretboard. I Could never get the 5th and 6th strings to intonate. 3rd string dead all along the fretboard. No allen wrenches provided (but you got a Fender sticker).

Don't know….I returned the guitar before contacting them.

"Great guitar"

I got the Arctic White version (almost what Albert Hammond of the Strokes plays). This is my first electric guitar, been playing an acoustic for a year, and I chose it over an Ibanez AX-120 that was actually cheaper; I'm not badmouthing Ibanez, but Fender has that brand-name appeal and classic outline.

Yes, it is a bit expensive, but well worth the money, and all Fenders are at about the same price. You get what you pay for, and this is no exception.

It's Fender, so you know that it's well made.

I would recommend it to anyone that has the money. I play it through a Marshall MG-15 DFX, another awesome product. The only thing that would would change or put on: locking tuners, a bigger '70s style headstock, and a way to instantly lock/unlock the tremolo. If it was stolen I would cry, then do all I could to first, kill the bastard that stole my Strat, and then either get this one back or buy a new one.

Submitted: 11/28/2003 (Style of Music: mostly garage rock, White Stripes and the Strokes, some old stuff. only 1 problem: I don't have a garage to rock :( )

An absolute steal!

A beautiful guitar. Looks like a vintage axe without the vintage price. Playability and quality of work are unsurpassed in this price range. If you're looking for a strat, pass up the Mexican Fender's and go for this one. You will not find a better deal!

Cool and Quiet

I've never played a vintage '50's Strat, so I can't speak to the Squire's "Classic-ness", but it certainly looks a lot like one.
More importantly it is a very nice Strat in every other way. The workmanship is quite good, the body contours cool, the neck shape very comfortable, it's light and resonant and the playabilty is near effortless.
Now the best part, it sounds fantastic! The pickups have a great attack and ring to them without being shrill. In addition there is enough mid-range chunk to make even the bridge pickup sing. If that wasn't enough the guitar is nearly hum-buzz free.
The one vintage Strat that I can compare it to is my '73. The Squire is a very different guitar than the old Fender and in some ways better!

A Bit Short of What I Expected

Yes, it's a pun. The power supply worked perfectly with my 535Q that I ordered. Unfortunately, it's only like 4-5 feet long, which wasn't enough to get from my power supply to the floor. I ended up returning and getting a pedalboard power supply (the One Spot) instead.
