Before I was born, there was a Telecaster.

I don't want to get into the Strat vs. Tele argument. This is about the best Tele made. I bought mine 14 years ago from the original owner, it is a 1983 and has never had a neck adjustment on it. It is built to play. I love it and highly recommend it. A sound investment and pure pleasure. I play it through either a fender Blues Jr. or a Fender Super Reverb. It will get twangy as you want, or as bluesy as you want. Get it, play it, love it !!

"52 TELECASTER"

I HAVE DELT WITH FENDER ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT DEAL WITH ANY GUITAR MANUFACTURER BUT FENDER. NEVER NEEDED THE WARRANTY, I DO ALL MY OWN UPGRADES, REPAIRS ARE NOT NECCESARY IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THESE GUITARS!

THE SOUND THESE PICKUPS PRODUCE IS PERFECT FOR COUNTRY AND OLD ROCK. LOVE IT.

FIT AND FINISH IS AMAZING! I LOVE THE NECK FINISH AND THE QUALITY PROCESSES THAT FENDER OBVIOUSLY USES WHEN PRODUCING THIS TYPE OF GUITAR. THEY PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME LOOK AT THE SWITCH AND PICKUP ROUTES UNDER THE PICKGUARD. PRETTY TRUE TO VINTAGE SPECS/

Plays like a dream

I use a JVM 410c and this thing sounds and plays awsome. The tremolo is awsome with the zero point system, you can pull on it either way and it still stays in tune. I play metal like Between The Buried And Me to Jimi Hendrix. I have an esp signature model from lamb of god witch is great but somthing about this guitar gets me. Its a great deal for this guitar with the case included and the best case I've seen at that so have fun and rock on.

D’Addario EXL120-7 XL Electric Guitar Strings (Super Light, 7-String, 9-54) vs. GHS Carlos Santana Electric Guitar Strings

D’Addario EXL120-7 XL Electric Guitar Strings (Super Light, 7-String, 9-54)

D'Addario EXL120-7 XL Electric Guitar Strings (Super Light, 7-String, 9-54)

D’Addario’s XL strings are round wound with nickel-plated steel wrap wire. They produce a bright, true sound.

About D’Addario Strings

The devil is always in the details, and sweating the details has been a family tradition at D’Addario for nine generations. Just look at something as simple as their plain steel guitar strings. They pay more to have the ball ends precision turned from solid brass stock. The edges have radii that prevent the ball end from cutting into wooden bridges or guitar tops.

Each string is twisted to perfection right down to the 3 neatly wrapped “lock twists.” And those lock twists help keep the plain steel strings from unraveling or breaking prematurely. Each and every spool of precision drawn high carbon steel wire passes 3 quality control tests before it hits the inventory shelves.

Pioneering innovative string design has been a D’Addario family tradition for nine generations. Most guitar players don’t realize that the inner core wire in all D’Addario steel strings is made from carefully drawn, hexagonally shaped, high carbon steel wire. The 6 “edges” of the core wire bite into the softer wrap wire, securing it all along its length. The hexagon core is just one of the reasons D’Addario strings are “Better by Design.” Hexagonally shaped high carbon steel core wire. Core wire edges dig in to the wrap wire to ensure a tight bond between the core and the wrap wire.

Sorta good, sorta bad…

I bought this along with a Gibson 3-pickup Flying V. First of all, what I received was NOT the case pictured. I'm pretty sure Epiphone has discontinued the broom-shaped cases, because the case I got was rectangular. At first sight, it seemed to be pretty good quality, and the cargo area inside the case was cavernous.

I still recommend buying THIS case over the more expensive Gibson case, but get ready to hack away part of the case.

I'm into heavy sounds, so this is ideal. Then again why else would you want 7 strings. I play it through a 100w marshall, and it sounds great. Sustain, warmth, bright, you name it. I've picked up guitars four times as expensive and not had this sort of sound.

The variety is limited by the extra string due to its heavy presence. It can tend to overpower teh sound a bit, especially clean neck sounds. Aside from this the sound is great.

Year?

22 frets

Solid top and pickguard

Two volums, one tone, three way switch

Black finish

String thru body set bridge

Korina Body, and Mahogany neck

The set up is good. People always complain about the huge neck on seven strings and yet it is easy to play. Can tend to get 'lost' carrying across tunes from a six string.

The all the way off on the volume pots doesn't seem to apply, as I still get some clean sound coming through, regardless of gain/distortion level. I may change these over, and the pickup selector, if/when the selector goes (its cheap it probably will).

this said the neck is setup really well and makes this very easy to play.

they did a good enough job to not need a customer support!
