Round Warm TubeTone with a Fast Pick Attack

I bought this guitar recently and the first thing I noticed was the really great action. Low and comfortable from low to high up on the board unlike some guitars ive played where the action bows . Ive even had a couple Taylors do the "bowing" thing or rather the guitar had an uneven action to it that even a truss rod adjust wouldnt get right. The Tan15C is not one of those ! Perfect playability as I play Al Dimeola style fast picking attack to Vai to Morse to Ole SChool Funk, BLues, Groove, Alt. , Instrumental, Flamenco, BLuegrassy stuff, etc. Ive used it a few times at the store I teach at as well . Getting a ROland Chorus Acoustic amp. Not very big amp but the size of a GK500 from the 80s for those that remember. THe sound with the cool tube is huge , warm and very responsive and puts a smile on my face. Chord Play is warm and mellow to snappy and tight and anything inbetween. What you put in is what you get out. THe tone from this preamp is simply wonderful. The aesthetic of this guitar is nice as well. Indian Rosewood back and sides to the Cedar top and the EBony neck and so on. Great looking great playing piece!

"Great guitar for the money paid. I will be proud to play this guitar for years to come."

Nothing really overdone on this guitar as I've seen on other brands. Takamine stayed with the basic look. What I like about this guitar as far as aethetic appeal is the blonde top with dark sides and back. The headstock is quite cool as it is stained very dark and really punches out the logo. Tuners are good with amber abalone – never seen that look before – very nice. Again, what sets this guitar apart from others in coolness, is the cool tube pre-amp.

Yeah, I looked at the Takamine retail price and bought this for $1,000 less. With the cool tube pre-amp, that's a good deal.

Still fairly new. Seems to be very well make. Takamine has a good rep I think. Of course, as with any guitar, you need to take care of it. I bought this with a humidifier since I've had an accoustic guitar crack in Canada's dry winter climate (different brand).

Can say! Haven't had to deal with manufacturer warranty. Dealer was more than helpful when I purchased.

Love it

I spent about two months choosing this guitar, and from the first time I picked it up until about 20 minutes ago when I just looked at it, I still have the same excitement. The Ivoriod bridge is my least fav feature, but on the fret it is amazing. Good sound, over all great guitar. And since it is a parker everyone one asks what it is and usually asks to hear something.

well ive been playing for for a little over a year now and the guitar suits me fine.

i play mostly christian/worship and a little of rock and blues

this guitar definitely holds up to most of the styles i prefer playing and my expectations.

the dao wood gives it a warm mid/high tone range but is balanced w/ the bass as well. the electronics are great-dean guitars are known well for their electronics.

the only reason why im giving it a 9 is because it does not project as loud but it will turn it up a notch when u want it to.

i got mine almost new, in an online auction!

this guitar is so beautiful!

solid dao back, sides and top

mahogany neck

rosewood fretboard

grover tuners

4 band eq dean electronics

21 frets

nice gloss finish

the dao wood has a beautiful staight grain pattern that is brown and slightly red in color.

its truly one of the more attractive guitars ive seen!

the imperfections on the pattern makes it even more eye-catching.

THE GUITAR IS GREAT QUALITY ALL THE WAY!

ACTION WAS LOW AND PERFECT BUT DOES NOT BUZZ SO ITS PERFECT FOR BLUES OR HARD STRUMMERS. FINISH IS GREAT AND GLOSSY BUT I WISH THE NECK WAS A SATIN FINISH.

ALL OF THE DEAN EXOTICAS ARE HAND-CRAFTED TO FINE QUALITY.

IT FITS JUST RIGHT KINDA LIKE A MINI JUMBO W/ CUTAWAY

Dean Koa Exotica

i am VERY happy with my purchase! i bought this over the better-looking Quilt Ash because the sound had better bass response. The sound is very pure and the resonance is excellent. i have a crate amp and plugged in it sounds crap, with the acoustasonic it sounds tight and sweet. the binding is beautiful and the koa grain is flawless. excellent guitar for the price! BUY IT.

Big sound – good lookin !

I've had mine about eight months now. Great action right out of the box. Real good sound throughout the range. The maple back and sides are beautiful. The aura electronics are the best. I wasn't impressed with the case. The strap button/cord jack was loose when I got it. I'd like to hear this guitar in 20 years.

Outstanding Guitar

This is an outstanding guitar in every respect; acoustic tone, plugged in tone, playability and overall quality are all top notch. The fiddleback maple sides and back on this guitar give a nice bright projection with keeping that signiture Martin sound; not to bright and not to dark. I had a Taylor 814ce before it which paled in comparisson. The JC-16ME Aura is a much better value.
